Kankyiabo Primary and JHS Project
The Initiative
Edifying Hope Foundation representatives engaged with Headmaster Joseph Atuahena Mensah and the teaching staff of Kankyiabo D/A Primary and JHS, gaining a clear understanding of the school's pressing needs.
The school has about 200 students from KG1 to JHS3, organizaed into 11 classes, and supported by 16 staff members, including community volunteers. Enrollment fluctuates due to the community's limited emphasis on formal education, influenced by the school's poor conditions. Although the institution operates under the Ghana Education Service (GES), it receives little to no practical suppport. When assistance does arrive, it is often delayed and insufficient, failing to meet essential needs such as infrastructure repairs, educational materials, and staffing
